Healing Families’ mission is to employ a more efficient and positive process to aid non-residential parents in their effort to remain active and vital in the lives of their children. More importantly, we strive to simultaneously enable children to enjoy a healthy bond with both parents.

Our supervision parenting services are designed to provide support, guidance, and structure to families looking for supervised visitations.
Supervised Parenting allows parents in high conflict or high risk situations access to their children in a safe and supervised enviroment. The noncustodial parent has access to the child only when supervised by another adult or professional.
Supportive Supervised Visitation includes the following:
Parent Coaching- Counselors assist parents in improving parenting skills and communication with their children, strengthening healthier and more open dialogue.
Emotional Support- Parents may receive emotional support and guidance to help them navigate the challenges of bringing together family members, primarily children (aka reunification) or maintaining a healthy parent-child relationship.
Feedback and Suggestions- Counselors offer constructive feedback to parents, identifying areas where improvements can be made and suggesting strategies for success.
SSV serves as a structured and supportive framework that helps parents demonstrate their commitment to rebuilding “trust” with their children, while maintaining neutrality and without compromising the safety and well being of the child(ren). SSV may also be referred to as “facilitated visitation or “directed visitation.”

My family and I retained Kim Padilla as our visitation superviser for one year. She demonstrated consistency in professional attitude and several critical skills. She was very adaptive and accomodating to our family’s particular requirements during a most unusual period in our family’s history. Since my ex-spouse and I were unable to communicate effectively, Kim was able to negotiate well between us in an unbiased fashion. She displayed an aptitude in finding amicable (and even some remedial) solutions during family visits. She demonstrated tact in keeping distance from personal opinions and distancing herself from contested subjects. She demonstrated deeper understanding of my young son’s excessive level of energy. She also proved most helpful with solutions for teen issues and provided guidance toward providing a positive visit that the children could share. I will without a doubt, seek her services again if further supervision is ever required.
